How to Play CS2

Your objective depends on your team's role and the selected game mode. In classic competitive matches, Terrorists attempt to plant and detonate the bomb, while Counter-Terrorists must prevent the objective or defuse the planted bomb.

At the beginning of each round, purchase weapons and equipment using your available money. Choose gear that fits your strategy, then work with teammates to control important areas of the map. Aim carefully, listen for enemy movements, and use grenades to block sightlines or disrupt opponents.

Winning rounds requires more than quick reactions. Learn map layouts, manage your resources, communicate effectively, and adapt your tactics to the enemy team. In Premier mode, CS Ratings and leaderboards provide another way to track your competitive progress.
